About
Mike grew up in Downers Grove, IL, and now has an office in Naperville, IL. He went to college at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. Mike met his wife, Dana, while doing his medical residency at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. The two especially enjoy spending time outdoors and hiking.
Mike is passionate about local food and cooking. He has his own vegetable garden, and freezes vegetables for use during the winter. Sometimes, he can make it the whole year without getting vegetables from other farmers, but some years when his supply gets low, he gets vegetables from local farmers. Mike and Dana get beef, lamb, pork, chicken, duck, turkey, and chicken eggs from local farmers and store it in freezers in their basement. They get wild whitefish, herring, and lake trout from family fisheries on northern Lake Superior. Mike enjoys making nutritious food, and cooks dinner practically every night.
